CYBER SECURITY

DRAFT OF SPECIALIZATION

Students of this specialisation have the opportunity to deepen and supplement their knowledge of organisational, legal, technical and physical measures aimed at ensuring undisturbed functioning of the Polish cyberspace and its public and private critical information infrastructure, as well as the security of information resources processed within it.  They will become familiar with the structure and functioning of the National Cyber Security System (NSS), both in the national and European Union contexts, with both national and European legislation in the field of cyber security.

SPECIALIZATION FOCUSES ON

Completion of the specialisation allows you to acquire knowledge and skills in:

  • Contemporary approaches to security in terms of personal data protection and the National Cyber Security System Act
  • Problems of so-called “information warfare”
  • Models of combat in cyberspace
  • Models and tools for identifying, recognising and assessing information impact opportunities
  • Cyber security in the enterprise
  • Combating cybercrime from a legal perspective
  • Intellectual property rights of a company in terms of information security
  • Methods of incident reporting
  • Procedures and rules of interaction of the CSIRT which is part of the KSC

CAREER PROSPECTS

Graduates of this specialisation are ready to work in the area of information security and cyber-security and related fields, both in public sector organisations, including government providing key services and local government, as well as in non-governmental and international organisations, including the private sector, as various types of advisors, specialists, inspectors, security systems and managers with professional and expert knowledge in achieving an appropriate level of security for information systems used to provide digital services.
