The aim of the education is to provide students with knowledge in the field of psychological research methodology, applied psychometrics, mechanisms of behaviour, psychotherapy, psychoprophylaxis, methods of psychological assistance, construction of methods of psychological diagnosis. Due to the practical profile of the studies, it is extremely important to shape in students practical skills of observation, analysis and interpretation of social phenomena and the use of knowledge in practice, i.e. to develop the ability to apply tools of psychological diagnosis, to undertake effective intervention, counselling and psychological assistance in the specialties selected by students.

The necessity to communicate efficiently with people of different ages and diverse psychological profiles is particularly important in the profession of a psychologist, therefore in the course of studies students acquire communication and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills with the use of various negotiation and mediation techniques.
