DRAFT OF SPECIALIZATION
Within the specialisation in Environmental Protection Administration, students will be specialists in the formulation and implementation of policy in environmental protection at company, municipal (local government) and national levels, including in emergency situations. The specialisation prepares specialists who are able to take action against threats caused by forces of nature, civilisation development, emergency situations or terrorist acts and possible armed conflict. The system of environmental management in emergencies must ensure effective coordination of rescue actions aimed at eliminating the effects of threats to the life and health of the population and the environment. The aim of the specialisation is to prepare modern personnel who will be able to independently undertake long-term actions to meet the needs and solve the main social problems of social security and relief and environmental protection.
SPECIALIZATION FOCUSES ON
Completion of the specialisation allows you to acquire knowledge and skills in:
- principles of collecting and analysing information on social problems and issues
- basic processes and problems relevant to environmental protection
- processes in nature and human impact on the environment
- activities of entities pursuing economic and ecological objectives of waste management
- procedures in environmental protection or crisis management related to environmental risks
CAREER PROSPECTS
Graduates of the specialisation Environmental Protection Administration find employment mainly in administrative units of communes and districts, as well as in organisational units dealing with environmental protection in production plants, in large service facilities and in government administration dealing with environmental protection in its broadest sense.
